A Festival of Light, Love, and Belonging — Diwali at NEXIS School of Business, Siliguri

Every year, Diwali brings with it brightness, laughter, and hope.
But this year, at NEXIS School of Business, Siliguri, the festival meant something a little more.
It wasn’t just about lighting Diya’s, it was about spreading light.
Across hearts, across spaces, and across moments that will stay with us long after the diya’s fade.

When We Shared the Light — A Visit to Uday Charitable Trust

This Diwali began not within our NEXIS campus, but outside it — at Uday Charitable Trust, a special school that nurtures children with disabilities and endless courage.

Armed with paintbrushes, colours, and countless diyas, the NEXIS team spent the morning surrounded by laughter, curiosity, and warmth. Together, we painted diyas, created bright rangolis, and filled every corner with the sound of pure joy.

But beyond the activities, there was something unspoken, a kind of magic that happens only when people meet with open hearts.
It showed the way a child’s face lit up after painting their first diya.
It showed how our business management students patiently guided little hands dipped in colour, celebrating each small success with cheers and smiles.

Those few hours didn’t feel like a visit. They felt like belonging, a reminder that light grows brighter when shared.
And as we left, the diyas we carried back seemed to hold not just wax and wick, but the warmth of every child we met.

This visit wasn’t just an activity, it was community engagement in education brought to life, something that sets NEXIS apart as one of the best business schools in Siliguri.

Lights, Music, and Laughter — The Diwali Bash at NEXIS

By evening, the NEXIS School of Business campus had transformed into a festival of its own.
The corridors shimmered with fairy lights, and every student arrived in stunning ethnic wear, bringing their own sparkle to the night.

The Diwali celebration at the college campus kicked off with laughter-filled games like Snatch the Cup and Pick the Item, where students had to grab an object from the table matching the Bollywood song being played. The energy was electric, the competitiveness friendly, and the joy contagious.

As the evening unfolded, a live singer took the stage, and what followed was a soulful jamming session. Voices rose together, familiar tunes filled the air, and soon, everyone was singing, clapping, and dancing under the warm glow of the Diwali lights.

For a few hours, no one was thinking about classes, projects, or deadlines, just about being together.
It was the kind of celebration that reminds you that festivals aren’t just meant to be observed, they’re meant to be felt.

This is what student life in Siliguri looks like when learning meets joy, a true balance of growth, experience, and togetherness.

The NEXIS Team Celebration — Gratitude, Togetherness, and Laughter

The celebrations ended on a beautifully grounded note, with the NEXIS team coming together for an intimate Diwali evening of their own.

A vibrant rangoli adorned the floor, diyas lined the entrance, and as the Dhanteras puja began, the space filled with quiet gratitude.
It wasn’t grand or loud, it was pure, warm, and deeply heartfelt.

After the puja, the evening flowed into laughter and connection.
There was housie, light-hearted teasing, shared sweets, and endless stories, the kind of evening that made everyone pause and realise how far NEXIS has come, and how beautifully it’s growing as a family.

This wasn’t just a celebration of a festival, it was a celebration of the people who make NEXIS one of the best business schools for business management in East India.

A Diwali to Remember

From the vibrant walls of Uday Charitable Trust to the glowing halls of NEXIS School of Business, Siliguri, this Diwali was not just about light, it was about meaning.

It reminded us that education isn’t confined to classrooms. It’s in compassion, creativity, and community.
It reminded us that growth doesn’t happen alone, it happens when hearts align with purpose.
And it reminded us that sometimes, the brightest lamps are the ones lit in the company of others.

This year, Diwali at NEXIS School of Business wasn’t just celebrated.
It was felt, shared, and remembered.

Because when you choose to light up someone else’s world —
you end up lighting your own a little brighter. 💛
